NITROGEN SMART
“Nitrogen Smart” Meetings conducted by UM Extension and with support of Minnesota Corn Growers and MN Ag Water Resources Center… at 9 location including March 1/Rosemount; 2/Monticello; 5/Foley; 12/Olivia; 13/North Mankato; 16/Cologne; 20/Ellendale; 27/Perham; 28/Ada.             This is a three hour workshop that offers discussion about different forms of nitrogen, stabilizers and inhibitor, how nitrogen changes in the soil, how plant use works, AND management practices to put the pieces together to maximize efficient use of nitrogen and minimize losses that cost the farmer money and increase risk for other issues.

SAFETY
Please be careful with icy conditions that can be common this time of year on roads, sidewalks, parking lots, homes, and farm yards. Spring snow can be heavy and taxing to work with.
