Advanced Nitrogen Smart session offered at North Star Ag Expo, July 26 in Medford

2022 has been an especially challenging year for managing nitrogen, with high fertilizer prices and impacts from last year's drought conditions. University of Minnesota Extension is pleased to offer the Advanced Nitrogen Smart curriculum, “A Deep Dive Into the 4Rs,” in conjunction with the North Star Ag Expo on Tuesday, July 26, 1-4pm. 

This session covers: 

• Comparing types of nitrogen fertilizer
• N application timing
• How to determine the most profitable N rate for your farm
• N application methods
• Use of inhibitors 
• Evaluating site and climate conditions

Ritchie Bros. Auction facility, 6000 Frontage Road W, Medford, Minnesota (on the west side of I-35 between Medford and Owatonna) - enter on north end of building
