Join us for the “Essential Row Crop Management - Summer 2020” Webinar Series

This is a reminder that the “Essential Row Crop Management – Summer 2020” webinar series, a joint venture between University of Minnesota Extension and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, starts next week. This series of short, timely, and topic-specific webinars for farmers, ag professionals, Extension personnel and other interested parties will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. on July 14, 16, 21, and 23. You need only register once to attend any or all of the sessions.

The webinars are free and open to all thanks to generous sponsorship from the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Corn Growers Association, Iowa Soybean Association, and the Iowa Corn Growers Association. Each 30 minute webinar will start with a 10 to 15 min presentation followed by time for questions and answers. Topics and presenters are listed below.
  • July 14, 1:00 p.m. Tar spot: Identification and in-season management with Alison Robertson, ISU Extension Plant Pathologist, and Dean Malvick, UMN Extension Plant Pathologist
  • July 16, 1:00 p.m. Soybean aphid IPM with Erin Hodgson, ISU Extension Entomologist, and Bob Koch, UMN Extension Soybean Entomologist 
  • July 21, 1:00 p.m. Corn rootworm management with Ken Ostlie, UMN Extension Entomologist 
  • July 23, 1:00 p.m. Soybean gall midge update with Justin McMechan, Extension Crop Protection and Cropping Systems Specialist, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
