Plan to attend Nitrogen, Nutrient Management Conferences in February 2024 in St. Cloud, Mankato

The Nitrogen Conference will be on February 13, 2024 in St. Cloud while the Nutrient Management Conference will take place on February 20, 2024 in Mankato.

University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota Agricultural Water Resource Center (MAWRC) bring together experts from the U of M, other land-grant universities, and the ag industry to present important soil fertility, nitrogen, and water quality research projects.

The 2024 Nitrogen: Minnesota's Grand Challenge and Compelling Opportunity Conference will cover various topics related to nitrogen and water quality, including:
  • The 4Rs as they relate to both production and environmental protection
  • Soil health and its impact on N management
  • Manure as a source of nitrogen
  • The role of irrigation in nitrogen management
The 2024 Nutrient Management Conference will cover topics on a variety of nutrients related:
  • Nutrient uptake mechanisms
  • Nutrient placement
  • Nutrient removal under dry growing season conditions
  • Manure as a nutrient source
Both conferences offer continuing education credits (CEUs) in soil & water and nutrient management for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs).
