The Minnesota Cooperative Black Cutworm Trapping project detected more significant black cutworm moth arrivals last week. These significant captures were in the eastern part of the trap network; brought by favorable winds and black cutworm moths ready to migrate from overwintering areas to the south.
Report #5 includes some scouting advice. Larvae from mid-April moth arrivals should be large enough to cut small corn the last week of May.
